          Spf  50 o 50+…questo è il dilemma! Per prendere il sole in tutta sicurezza quale scegliere?

Le protezioni solari con spf 50 o 50+ sono meglio conosciute come protezione “molto alta“!
Sono indicate per prevenire i danni cutanei alle persone con la carnagione molto chiara o per coloro che svolgono attività invernali ad elevate altitudini.

Per quanto riguarda la protezione contro gli UVA, non esiste ancora un sistema di rating vero e proprio, ma sono stati implementati i criteri di conformità relativi ai prodotti “ad ampio spettro“, cioè i filtri solari che proteggono la pelle contemporaneamente dai raggi UVA e UVB.
Secondo le ultime raccomandazioni della Commissione Europea, un solare deve contenere sostanze (filtri e schermi) che permettano un buon rapporto di protezione UVB/UVA (per approfondire leggere il nostro articolo cliccando qui), dove la protezione UVA dovrebbe corrispondere ad 1/3 della protezione UVB dichiarata.

Secondo la Commissione Europea, l’etichettatura dei prodotti di protezione solare deve essere semplice, standardizzata e comprensibile, per permettere ai consumatori di identificare e selezionare  prodotti solari generalmente riconosciuti sicuri ed efficaci” e che offrano una protezione idonea contro scottature, invecchiamento precoce della pelle e tumori della pelle.

In particolare, non potranno essere più impiegate diciture fuorvianti come “sun block” o “schermo totale” e non dovrebbero più esistere prodotti con fattore di protezione inferiore a 6 o superiore a 50+.

Più alto è il numero SPF, maggiore sarà la protezione solare. Quindi un SPF 6 o 10 offre una protezione bassa, un SPF 15, 20 o 25 offre una protezione media e un SPF 30 o 50 offre una protezione alta e un SPF 50+ offre una protezione molto alta.
